Preserving Fruit Vegetables and Other Foods
Self Paced 20-hour course to help you understand more about preserving food.
This course begins by helping you to understand what is
possible in the world of food preservation; then understanding the factors that
cause food to deteriorate. Once you understand that, you proceed to study the
different ways foods can be preserved from chemical treatments, to changing the
environmental conditions (eg: temperature, moisture content, etc.)
Food preservation is something that should be understood by
anyone who handles food; whether for their own use, or on a commercial basis.
Our 20 hour courses are self paced and will help you understand a topic
in a short amount of time. You can work through the course when you
like- test yourself with mini-tests along the way. There are extra case
studies or research you can undertake if you would really like to get
into the topic. Once you have completed the lessons and self assessment
tasks, there is a final exam undertaken online- you can then download
your personalised certificate.
